I had the pleasure of being invited on a press trip with Maison Margiela fragrances at the Surfrider in Malibu last week where all my Malibu barbie dreams came true. It’s crazy how as an LA native who grew up going to Malibu, I can still discover new treasures and have completely new experiences in my own city. Curating such a successful and talented group of girls for this trip as well as planning a well thought out itinerary really made the trip a lasting memory.
As you know working full time and blogging full time, its really important for me to manage my time with companies I truly value and align with my aesthetic. The messaging and branding of Maison Margiela fragrances is something I have always admired and I was honored to be apart of their Malibu experience, especially their ability to curate a great group to do some good for the world.
What I wore on my staycation:
Where I dined:
Surfrider Malibu Rooftop- amazing drinks, delicious breakfast, and beautiful view.
Malibu Farm – Really cute lunch spot with amazing smoothies and my favorite cauliflower crust pizza.
Nobu Malibu- I don’t know anyone who wants to complain about sushi beachside. Also the service is impeccable. You drop a napkin and in the blink of an eye have a new one waiting on your lap.
Activities we did:
Surfrider Foundation Beach Cleanup. There is something oddly therapeutic about cleaning beaches. Its your time to be solo and walk along the water with the intention of doing a greater good. I really enjoyed this activity and will definitely be back for more.
Getty Villa – Although I signed up for this activity I had just missed the cutoff time to enter, so instead my friend and I wandered the beautiful Malibu creek parks tucked right behind it, which was just as memorable.
Thank you Maison Margiela for the unforgettable memories. #smellslikememories.
