Growing up, my sister had a big influence on my beauty ritual. I was more of a tomboy and my sister was more girly and would always play around with my mother’s hair and skincare products. A huge part of our sister bonding time was unwinding with good self-care. This meant turning off the outside world and discovering what’s good about our heritage and beauty routine.

As a first-generation Bengali American, a lot of our beauty products were homemade from natural herbs as that’s what our parents grew up using. This jasmine blend face mask is my favorite mask my sister has made for me because it works with my sensitive skin.

From an early age, I always felt that maintaining a routine kept my life in order and helped me accomplish what I needed to. My beauty routine always starts with my face and ends with my hair.

My hair type is wavy and thin, so I like to have a hair regimen that gives volume and silkiness. Pantene’s new Hair Volume Multiplier Collection with Bamboo from the Nutrient Blends Collection includes a shampoo and conditioner that adds fullness to my fine hair. This collection is free of silicones, parabens, dye and mineral oil.

I use the shampoo on my wash days to remove dirt and oils while returning my hair to its natural fullness.

I like to leave the conditioner on a little longer to strengthen against damage but to also act as a hair thickener.

In Asian culture, healthy hair is a reflection of our inner health and healthy hair begins at the scalp. The Bamboo collection uses a lot of natural ingredients native to my culture and refreshes, thickens, and nourishes from my scalp to ends.

I highly suggest Pantene’s Hair Volume Multiplier Collection with Bamboo for an easy, nutrient rich hair ritual.

Shop the collection here.
